About my work

I am a painter and a maker, working at the intersection of fine art and craftsmanship. While painting forms the foundation of my practice, my work is deeply informed by traditional techniques such as upholstery, printmaking, woodworking, welding, ceramics—skills I’ve honed through both academic training and hands-on apprenticeships. These crafts are not just tools but essential parts of my process, allowing me to slow down, work with my hands, and create pieces that carry the imprint of making in a fast, digital world.

My practice explores the dialogue between craft and contemporary art. I draw inspiration from industrial and urban spaces—the rhythm of a brick wall, the stitching in upholstery, the structure of a fence—and translate these influences into large-scale paintings and sculptural works. Using recycled and unconventional materials, I build compositions that balance visual impact with structural integrity, often combining intuitive mark-making with meticulous construction.

Underlying my work is a commitment to reclaiming space as a woman in traditionally male-dominated creative environments. I aim to embody the presence I once searched for in art school: a woman working boldly, skillfully, and confidently at scale. My work celebrates physical process, materiality, and the strength found in making..
